Orthoimagery, digital surface model, and point cloud for the Big Bend restoration site, West Jordan Utah, January, 2022

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: August 06, 2025 | Last Modified: 20250311
The products presented here document conditions at the Big Bend restoration site on the Jordan River, West Jordan, Utah in January, 2022. Multiband imagery was collected shortly after the initiation of restoration actions. Images were collected using a 3DR Solo unoccupied aerial system (UAS) at a height approximately 400 feet above the surface of the Jordan River flood plain using a MicaSense RedEdge camera. Data were processed using structure-from-motion techniques to generate a digital surface model (DSM; .tif) and an orthoimage for the site (MetaShape v. 2.0.1). Images and derived products provide baseline information about current terrestrial communities against which to compare changes following restoration of terrestrial areas.
