Weigh In Motion (WIM) devices are designed to capture and record the axle weights and gross vehicle weights as trucks drive over sensors at measurement sites. WIM devices are installed on City-owned section of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway from the vicinity of Atlantic Avenue to Sands Street in Brooklyn. 2019-2021- Data captured both Queens bound and Staten Island bound (six lanes). 2022-2023- Data captured only Queens bound (three lanes). 2023- Present- Data captured only Queens bound (two lanes).
