<div>Power plant capacity data and map are from the California Energy Commission.</div><div>The CEC licenses thermal power plants 50 megawatts (MW) and greater and</div><div>the infrastructure serving the plants such as electric transmission lines, fuel</div><div>supply lines, and water pipelines. These licensed plants are referred to as</div><div>jurisdictional plants. This map depicts the capacity of CEC-licensed</div><div>(jurisdictional) natural gas power plants and non-jurisdictional natural gas</div><div>plants. Counties without symbols had no natural gas power plants. Data is from</div><div>2024 and is current as of May 29, 2025. Projection: NAD 1983 (2011) California</div><div>(Teale) Albers (Meters).
