Two-dimensional hydrodynamic model outputs for the Missouri River at Searcys Bend near Huntsdale, Missouri for September 16, 2021
This dataset consists of a point shapefile with depth, velocity magnitude, XY velocity vector components, and vector angles from outputs of a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model of the Missouri River at Searcys Bend near Huntsdale, Missouri. The model was run at a discharge of 1,291 cubic meters per second (m3/s) to reflect average flow conditions on September 16, 2021, as measured by the U.S. Geological Survey’s Missouri River gaging station at Boonville, Missouri (USGS Gage 06909000). The simulation was run using the Flow and Sediment Transport with Morphologic Evolution of CHannels (FaSTMECH) hydrodynamic model within the International River Interface Cooperative (iRIC) software package (www.i-ric.org). Required input parameter values for roughness, lateral eddy viscosity, and the downstream water surface elevation were interpolated from discharge relations with model parameters derived from previous model calibration at the study site.
