Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: September 04, 2025 | Last Modified: 20250814
This data release presents data and calculations for morphometric parameters used for the publication, "Morphometric and geologic characterization with statistical correlations for 33 tributary drainage basins of the San Juan River watershed in the Four Corners region, United States" in the Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis journal, http://dx.doi:10.1144/geochem2024-037. Table 1. Morphometric parameters for 33 tributary drainage basins. A, area; R, relief; smax, maximum slope; rr, relief ratio; Dd, drainage density; T, drainage texture ratio; Lr, length ratio; rb, bifurcation ratio; re, elongation ratio; Sr, surface water runoff length; Rn, ruggedness number; P, perimeter; Lc, longest axis of basin; Lt, total stream lengths; N, total number of streams. Median and maximum concentrations of aluminum, arsenic, iron, lead, manganese, and uranium in unfiltered water samples used for stepwise multiple linear regression and principal component analyses. Tributary drainage basins are listed in upstream to downstream order.
