Soil-Water-Balance MODEL OUTPUT for simulations of net infiltration and runoff in the Beaver Creek, Alaska basin, 1944 to 2050
This item provides the output files from water budget simulations for the Beaver Creek Basin and surrounding areas during the historical period 1944 to 2023 and a future conditions period that starts in 2014 and goes to 2050 and uses climate projection data. The simulations produce gridded daily data estimates of net infiltration (water that might become groundwater recharge), rejected net infiltration, runoff, actual evapotranspiration and gross precipitation. The model output files are in netcdf4 format and all water budget components are in inches. The outputs used in the Beaver Creek groundwater and stream temperature model (net infiltration, rejected net infiltration, and runoff) and included in this child item. The model input files used to generate these outputs are archived in the associated soil was balance model inputs child item in the parent data release that this directory is contained in. These simulations were done with the USGS SWB model (version 2; Westenbroek and others, 2018).
Further details about this application of the SWB model can be found in the related primary publication.
