Sediment Budget Geospatial Network for Little Fork River Basin, Minnesota

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: August 06, 2025 | Last Modified: 20250711
This shapefile contains a digital stream network delineated for the Little Fork River Basin in northern Minnesota and used in the development of a sediment budget as part of a broader geochemical fingerprinting study examining apportionments of upland sources of sediment and sediment-bound phosphorus. The network is divided into segments of 60 meters or less and attributed with GIS-derived data and sediment erosion and deposition rates based on the results of rapid geomorphic assessments (RGAs) collected in July-August 2021 at 46 sites within the basin. Funding support provided by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA).
