The Peru National Fisheries Society (SNP) is a private union organization that consolidates the leadership of Peruvian industrial fishing, bringing together different actors involved in the production of marine food and ingredients that follow responsible and sustainable practices for the marine and environmental ecosystem (https://snp.org.pe/). In Peru, the anchovy extraction activity is carried out in two fishing seasons, in the North Central (NC) and South areas during the year; The first NC season takes place in the months of April to July and the second takes place from November to January of the following year. The fleet during the fishing seasons records data and information on the pelagic marine ecosystem: environmental, biological, acoustic and behavior of the fleet. The information is processed and organized by the SNP Scientific Research Committee made up of the research areas of the companies. All the information is part of the PESCADATA, of the SALVAMARES Program https://snp.org.pe/investigacion-cientifica/atlas-pesquero/. Sea Surface Temperature is measured daily during the fishing season by nearly 200 vessels associated with the SNP.
