ROSETTA-ORBITER EARTH RPCMAG 2 EAR1 RAW V9.0

Published by National Aeronautics and Space Administration | National Aeronautics and Space Administration | Metadata Last Checked: July 18, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-07-17
This dataset contains EDITED RAW DATA (CODMAC LEVEL 2) of the FIRST EARTH SWINGBY (EAR1) of the ROSETTA orbiter magnetometer RPCMAG. The closest approach (CA) took place on March 4, 2005 at 22:09. Included are data of the swingby from March 1, 2005 until March 7, 2005 and the Passive Checkout PC0 on March 29, 2005. The current version of the dataset is V9.0. The difference to the datasets of earlier versions is mainly a significantly improved sensor temperature model, more detailed documentation about magnetic disturbance sources, more data handling information for the user and also an improved quality flagging system. This applies mainly to CALIBRATED and RESAMPLED datasets. The RAW dataset, however, has been updated as well in order provide all datasets at the same stage, although RAW data proper did not change.
