Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) Public Assistance (PA) Dataset (Unstructured entry) is a collection of information about damages to public facilities and infrastructure. Some of the fields include location information, cause of damage, cost information, and category of work the damaged facility, as outlined in the 2021 FEMA Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) Guide. Additional fields are requested for each category of work identified. This includes debris locations and types (Category A), emergency activities required to respond to the incident and the resulting impacts to the communities (Category B), and permanent repair work information (Categories C through G) such as facility types, necessary repairs, and special consideration information such as age of the facility, ground disturbing activities required for repairs, and repairs needed near water.
