Physical, current, and other data were collected from CTD casts, current meters, and drifting buoys from NOAA Ship Mt. Mitchell in the Persian Gulf and other locations from 26 February 1992 to 22 June 1992. Data were collected by the Brookhaven National Laboratory as part of the Straits of Hormuz project. CTD parameters include temperature, salinity, sigma-T, and oxygen. Current meter parameters include East-West components (U), North-South (V) components, current speed, current direction, temperature, salinity, and pressure. Drifting buoys parameters include time, latitude, and longitude.
