Patent AT-E401440-T1: [Translated] TEXTILE PROCESSING MACHINE WITH A FIBER CONVEYOR CHANNEL AND A FIBER GUIDE SURFACE

Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Metadata Last Checked: September 06, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-09-06
A fibre guide (3c) in an air spinning process to make a thread from staple sliver. The guide (3c) especially has a fibre guide passage (4) with sidewalls (18) terminating in a fibre release edge (6), surrendering the staple fibres side-by-side in parallel as a flat web (20). The laminar flow channel sidewalls have a flow detachment line (17) which causes free thread ends to lift from the flat web. The channel (4) is essentially of uniform cross-sectional area (A) until the detachment widening line (17). The channel subsequently widens.
