The method involves a stage for pre-preparing the pad (7) in such a way that at least two movable with respect to each other inking portions (12, 13) are defined and a transformation stage for modifying the arrangement of the inking portions (12, 13) which is carried out between the stage for applying the pad (7) to the plate (1) and the stage for applying the inked pad to the lens (5).
