Patent AT-E399805-T1: [Translated] METHOD FOR PRODUCING CYLINDRICAL MOLDED BODIES BASED ON CELLULAR POLYURETHANE ELASTOMERS

Published by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) | U.S. Department of Health & Human Services | Metadata Last Checked: September 06, 2025 | Last Modified: 2025-09-06
Preparation of cylindrical molded bodies (I) based on cellular polyurethane elastomers with determined density, tensile strength, elongation and a tear resistance, comprises reaction of prepolymers (i) with cross linking components (ii) in a molded form, where (i) are isocyanate groups based on methylenediphenyldiisocyanate and polyetherdiol; and (ii) contains polyetheralcohol with a nominal functionality of 2-3; diol with a molecular weight of 62-499 g/mol; water; and catalysts. Preparation of cylindrical molded bodies (I) based on cellular polyurethane elastomers with a density of 350-900 kg/m 3> according to DIN EN ISO 1798, a tensile strength of >= 2 N/mm 2> according to DIN EN ISO 1798, elongation of >= 200% according to DIN EN ISO 1798 and a tear resistance of >= 8 N/mm according to DIN ISO 34-1 B, comprises reaction of prepolymers (i) with cross linking components (ii) in a molded form, where (i) are isocyanate groups based on methylenediphenyldiisocyanate and polyetherdiol with a molecular weight of 1500-3000 g/mol based on propylene oxide and/or ethyleneoxide; and (ii) contains polyetheralcohol with a nominal functionality of 2-3 in relation to isocyanates and a molecular weight of 1500-6000 g/mol based on propylene oxide and/or ethyleneoxide; diol with a molecular weight of 62-499 g/mol; water; and catalysts, where (i) and (ii) are filled in a molded form by means of a high pressure machine, which exhibits a mixing head, into which (i) and (ii) are mixed and obtained product amounts to 15-60 g/s.
