Linear Deconvolution Results For Sites DS-6 and DS-7 (3-component-model-2)

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: July 18, 2025 | Last Modified: 20200821
These geotiffs represent the raster GIS outputs of Linear Deconvolution (Linear Spectral Unmixing) analysis of ASTER image pixels covering various sand dune and sand sheet fields throughout the Western United States and Alaska. These particular dune fields (DS-6 and DS-7) are within the Sunset Crater area of the San Francisco Volcanic Field of basaltic scoria cones and re-worked tephra deposits in Arizona. The accompanying zip file contains linear deconvolution-derived mineral fractional abundance maps for a three-component mixture model of Basaltic Glass, Opaline Silica and Plagioclase Feldspars, as well as RMS and residual errors. Each geotiff layer has an associated metadata file with further details.
