Laboratory Survivorship of Culex quinquefasciatus used in a Mark-Release-Recapture Trial at Upper Waiākea Forest Reserve, Island of Hawai'i, November - December 2020, March 2024

This data set and accompanying metadata is part of a larger data release for a Mark-Release-Recapture (MRR) Trial with the mosquito Culex quinquefasciatus conducted between October and December 2020 in the Upper Waiākea Forest Reserve on the Island of Hawai'i. Culex quinquefasciatus is the vector of avian malaria in the Hawaiian Islands. The data is a record of the daily survivorship of Culex quinquefasciatus that have been marked with Rhodamine B. Mosquitoes were reared in the insectary and their adult survivorship followed under insectary conditions and varying nutrients provided. Initial survivorship trial with individuals from the release cohort was conducted from November 21 to December 18, 2020. The second survivorship trial was conducted March 12 -20, 2024.
