Imagery data for the Vegetation Mapping Inventory Project of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park
This reference contains the imagery data used in the completion of the baseline vegetation inventory project for the NPS park unit. Orthophotos, raw imagery, and scanned aerial photos are common files held here.
On April 28, 2003, William Frament, USDA Forest Service (Northeastern Area State and Private Forestry, Durham, NH), acquired leaf-off color infrared (CIR), stereo pair 1:8,000 scale aerial photography of Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park. The photography was acquired as part of a larger project flown for several eastern national parks at one time, and thus preceded the vegetation classification and mapping project. The photography was captured in late April when deciduous trees were mostly bare and the ground was generally free of snow. The image type consists of a raster 3-band color image.
