Geographic Information System (GIS) characterizations of benthic habitats near South Florida coast (NCEI Accession 0000600)
This data collection uses a Geographic Information System (GIS) to organize and characterize information about benthic communities and substrates, which are ecological environments of the sea floor. The communities in this data collection include coral, seagrass, bare bottom, hard bottom, tidal flat, saltmarsh, and halophila communities. This coverage shows benthic distributions of various organisms for South Florida. The data provider included a metadata file in the FGDC description with the data files in this collection.
