Data to support Reactive organic carbon air emissions from mobile sources in the United States

Published by U.S. EPA Office of Research and Development (ORD) | U.S. Environmental Protection Agency | Metadata Last Checked: June 27, 2025 | Last Modified: 2023-04-26
This data were used to generate the figures in the peer-reviewed publication "Reactive organic carbon air emissions from mobile sources in the United States" published by Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics in 2023. The data were produced by analyses of the Motor Vehicle Emissions Simulator (MOVES) and the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model, both developed by EPA (OTAQ and ORD respectively). The analysis focuses on the impact of adjustments to national-level mobile source emissions when considering artifacts from filter measurements and inclusion of intermediate volatility organic compounds which are potent precursors of particulate matter.
