Computed and estimated streamflow in Bronson and Fanno Creeks, OR, 2016-2017

Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: September 26, 2025 | Last Modified: 20250923
The USGS computed streamflow during 2016 and 2017 at two sites – one on Bronson Creek (USGS station 453250122494501) and one on Fanno Creek (USGS station 452738122474100), which are tributaries to the Tualatin River in northwestern Oregon. The computed streamflows from the two aforementioned sites were then used to estimate the corresponding streamflow at two other sites- USGS station 453320122483701 (located upstream of the computed streamflow on Bronson Creek); and USGS station 452718122474700 (located downstream of the computed streamflow on Fanno Creek) The estimated streamflow was calculated by applying a scaling factor to the computed streamflow that reflected the difference in drainage areas between the sites in each stream.
