TEMP_SAMPLE_PUB_PT: Stream temperatures are the result of a variety of energy transfer processes, including solar radiation, evaporation, conduction, and advection. Stream temperatures reflect seasonal changes in net radiation and daily changes in air temperatures. Patterns of energy input are also modified by flow velocity, flow depth, bottom substrate, and spring and groundwater inflow. The temperature tables defined in this data standard store the raw temperature measurements recorded by a continuous reading device (WTR_TEMP_RAW_TBL) and the attributes that are summarized from the raw data (WTR_TEMP_TBL).
