Published by U.S. Geological Survey | Department of the Interior | Metadata Last Checked: September 04, 2025 | Last Modified: 20250728
Surface Urban Heat Island (SUHI) maximum land surface temperature (MeanLST) data is derived from Landsat Collection 2 Data for Surface Temperature. We calculated the annual temperature was identified from all clear observations during year. The annual mean temperature (MeanLST) therefore represents the average of all clear observations in a specific year for a specific pixel. Data are provided across two international urban centers (regions), which include Wuhan, China and Brasilia, Brazil, generated annual MeanLST. The data ranges from 1985-2023, and covers data within all ROI tiles that the urban center is located. NOTE: First Outputs (Provisional Release).
