16S and ITS amplicon sequencing of reconstructed wetland soil metagenomes
Experiments tested if changes in soil microbiomes within reconstructed freshwater wetlands were associated with exposure to elevated Cu concentrations originating from immersed Micronized Copper Azole (MCA) treated wood stakes. Soil samples were collected for amplicon sequencing to quantify responses in microbial communities at 15 timepoints, spanning 2 simulated seasonal dry downs, for up to 678 days.
